Beach Worship

I love Beach Worship!
This is SAIL Ministries' 7th year of conducting Beach Worship Services at the Kitty Hawk Bathhouse Access mp 4.5 . Our "congregation" is varied. We have our regular attenders - both local and vacationers, and those who had not planned on attending church - beachcombers, fishermen, surfers, joggers, and those who slept on the beach overnight. Some join us, others do not.
I love wearing shorts, sand between the toes, the smell and sound of the ocean, seagulls, dolphins, pelicans, crashing waves, beach chairs, beach towels as pews, coffee, music, and the spoken Word!
There is nothing on earth that makes me feel closer to God.
People joining us in worship are just people - no denominations, careers, status symbols or designer labels (unless you are up on the latest designer beach chairs, travel mugs or T-shirts which I'll never be!). We are all there for the same purpose - simply to worship God!
It's an awesome thing to look out towards the Eastern Sky and know that is the direction in which the Lord will step out of heaven, the trumpet will be sounded, and the church goes to be with him forever! (Matthew 24:27, I Thess. 4:16-17)
